Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption
No. 55 (Distributors)) Exemption Notice 2008

Pursuant to Regulation 194(2) of the Electricity Governance
Regulations 2003, the Electricity Commission gives the
following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the
    Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 55
    (Distributors)) Exemption Notice 2008.

(2) This notice comes into force on 20 March 2008.

  1. Exemption—All distributors, as defined in Part A of the
    Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”), are exempted
    from compliance with Rule 4 of Part E of the Rules.

  2. Terms and conditions—This exemption is granted on
    the following conditions:

(a) This exemption will only apply for the purpose of
creating or maintaining installation control points
(ICP) that will become distributor only ICPs for
embedded network gateway points of connection,
and shared unmetered load points of connection; and

(b) this exemption will expire on 30 April 2008.

  1. Reason for granting the exemption—The reason for
    granting this exemption is:

● In order to comply with the migration plan and populate
the new systems in preparation for the new registry
and reconciliation manager systems, distributors cannot
comply with the requirement of this rule.

Regulations 2003, the Electricity Commission gives the

    (Registry)) Exemption Notice 2008.

(2) This notice comes into force on 20 March 2008.

  1. Exemption—The registry, as defined in Part A of the
    Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”), is exempted
    from compliance with Rule 18 of Part E of the Rules.

  2. Term—This exemption will expire on 30 April 2008.

  3. Reason for granting the exemption—The reason for
    granting this exemption is:

participants to populate the new systems in preparation
for the new registry and reconciliation manager systems,
the registry cannot comply with the requirements of this
rule.

    (Retailers)) Exemption Notice 2008.

  1. Exemption—All retailers, as defined in Part A of the
    Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”), are exempted
    from compliance with Rule 3.2 of Schedule E2 of Part E of
    the Rules.

  2. Term—This exemption will expire on 30 April 2008.

  3. Reason for granting the exemption—The reason for
    granting this exemption is:

● In order to comply with the migration plan and populate
the new systems in preparation for the new registry and
reconciliation manager systems, retailers cannot comply
with the requirement of this rule.

Notice 2008

Regulations 2003, the Electricity Commission
(“Commission”) gives the following notice.

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the
    Electricity Governance Regulations (Exemption No. 58
    (Reconciliation Manager)) Exemption Notice 2008.

(2) This notice comes into force on 20 March 2008.

  1. Exemption—The reconciliation manager, as defined in
    Part A of the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 (“Rules”),
    is exempted from compliance with Rule 5.2 of Schedule E2
    of Part E of the Rules.

  2. Terms and conditions—This exemption is granted on
    the following conditions:

(a) The reconciliation manager must notify the
Commission of any new network supply points
within one business day of their creation; and

(b) this exemption will expire on 30 April 2008.

  1. Reason for granting the exemption—The reason for
    granting this exemption is:

● In order to comply with the migration plan and enable
participants to populate the new systems in preparation
for the new registry and reconciliation manager systems,
the reconciliation manager cannot comply with the
requirement of this rule.
