Change of the Classification of a Reserve and

Vesting in the Queenstown Lakes District Council

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a reserve for government purpose (wildlife management) to a recreation reserve, and further vests the reserve in the Queenstown Lakes District in trust for that purpose.

Classification of Reserve and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Invercargill City Council hereby gives notice that the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is classified as a scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977, and declares that the said reserve shall be known as the Red Tussock Reserve.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Invercargill City Council declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be a scenic reserve within the provisions of the said Act for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares that the said reserve shall be known as the Taiepa Dune Reserve.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground for the benefit of Ngati Tautahi and to be known as Takapaukura Māori Reserve.
