All users of any part of the Urenui River must now comply with the speed limit prescribed by Maritime Rule 91.6 at all times, and in particular Maritime Rule 91.6(1) which provides that:
No person may, without reasonable excuse, propel or navigate a vessel (including a vessel towing a person or an object) at a proper speed exceeding 5 knots:
(a) within 50 metres of any other vessel, raft or person in the water; or
(b) within 200 metres of the shore or of any structure; or
(c) within 200 metres of any vessel or raft that is flying Flag A of the International Code of Signals (diverβs flag).

Tauranga Kawerau Fire District Notice, August 2007
Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.
Notice

This notice may be cited as the Tauranga Kawerau Fire District Notice, October 2007.

This notice shall come into force on 10 October 2007.

This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for Tauranga and Kawerau Fire Districts.
Constitution of a Fire District
(a) The urban areas of Tauranga and Kawerau are hereby constituted as a fire district.
(b) The boundary of the constituted fire district is defined and delineated on a plan held at the National Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways
Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
Amendment

This amendment shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
