Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2005/7*
Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways
Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, and clause 2.6 of the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003 (Rule 54001), Transit New Zealand hereby amends the following bylaw.
Amendment

This amendment shall come into force 28 days after publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Transit New Zealand (Maximum Speeds of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2005/7* is hereby amended by:
● Inserting a new line 64(a) in Schedule 3 to read:

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Declaring New Section of State Highway and Renumbering State Highway—State Highways 18 and 18A, Greenhithe
Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Board gives notice that the section of road described in the First Schedule hereto is declared to be State highway and the section of State Highway 18 described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be State Highway 18A within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.
First Schedule
State Highway 18 to include the newly constructed section of road in North Shore City commencing at a point (Route Position 0/2.340) on existing State Highway 18 at the north-eastern side of the new Albany Highway Underpass and extending in a generally south-westerly direction to a point (new Route Position 07/0.525) on existing State Highway 18 at the western abutment of the new Upper Harbour Bridge, including the newly constructed motorway ramps and connections to and from Albany Highway, Greenhithe Road, Upper Harbour Drive and Tauhinu Road; a distance of 4.885 kilometres.
Second Schedule
State Highway 18A to consist of the existing section of State Highway 18 in North Shore City commencing at a point (New Reference Station 0) on the Albany Highway 50 metres north-west of the northern abutment of the new Albany Highway Underpass and extending in a generally south-westerly direction along the Albany Highway and Upper Harbour Drive to a point (new Reference Station 5) on the south-western side of the roundabout at William Pitcher Place; a distance of 4.268 kilometres.
These resolutions were passed at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 3rd day of October 2007.

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes
Under section 7 of the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation and the Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting under a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, being the Minister responsible for the department of the State that has control of the land described in the Schedule, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes.
