Notice of Indemnity Given Under the Public Finance Act 1989

Pursuant to section 65ZD(3) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

"On 1 November 2007 I, The Honourable Dr Michael John Cullen, Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Crown, gave an indemnity to Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited (Airways) as contained in Airways’ contract with the New Zealand Defence Force for the provision of air traffic control services. The indemnity relates to any claim brought against Airways by third parties arising from military flight operations undertaken by the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and is effective from the date of the contract."

Notification of Draft TSO Cost Allocation Determination for the Period Between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007

On 29 October 2007, the Commerce Commission, pursuant to section 87(a) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), prepared a draft TSO cost allocation determination of the matters set out in section 88 of the Act for the period between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007.

Pursuant to section 87(b) of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of its draft determination.
