Corrigendum—Fisheries (Declaration of Mātaitai Reserve and Appointment of Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki) Notice 2004 (No. F310)
In the notice with the above heading, dated the 23rd day of November 2004 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 December 2004, No. 158, page 3921, in clause 2 (c) (ii), please replace
“those waters of Big Glory Bay generally southward of a line from the point west of Sailors Rest (46°58.09′S 168°08.42′E), then generally in a north-westerly direction to the north-eastern point of Bravo Island (46°57.42′S 168°08.45′E), then following the mean high water spring line in a westerly direction along the shore of Bravo Island to a point (46°57.35′S 168°08.13′E), then generally west across the sand spit to the nearest land at (46°57.42′S 168°08.45′E).”

In the notice with the above heading, dated the 21st day of March 2006 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 30 March 2006, No. 29, page 770, in bylaw 7 (b), please replace
“For the purposes of this bylaw, the Bravo Islands area commences at a point on the eastern side of Bravo Island (at approximately 46°57′7″S and 168°08′45″E); then following the mean high-water mark in a westerly direction along the northern shoreline of Bravo Island to a point (at approximately 46°57′57″S and 168°08′10″E); then proceeding generally west across the sand spit to a point on the Stewart Island coast (at approximately 46°57′54″S and 168°07′9″E); then following the mean high-water mark in a generally westerly direction to the eastern head of Gentian Cove (at approximately 46°57′30″S and 168°07′35″E); then proceeding in a generally north and then easterly direction along a 400 metre radius extending from the mean high-water mark

Fisheries (Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve Bylaws) Notice 2006 (No. F370)
Pursuant to Regulations 25 and 26 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, the Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Declaration of Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve Bylaws) Notice 2006.
(2) This notice shall come into effect 28 days after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) The term “Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve” means the mātaitai reserve at Koukourārata (Port Levy), Banks Peninsula notified in the Fisheries (Declaration of Mātaitai Reserve) Notice 2000 (No. F.167) (New Zealand Gazette, 14 December 2000, No. 166, page 4353).
(b) The term “Te Rūnanga o Koukourārata office” means either the rūnanga office located at Level Two, 127 Armagh Street or at 156 Pa Road, Port Levy.
(c) The term “cockle” means the mollusc Austrovenus stutchburyi (formerly Chione stutchburyi).
(d) Terms have, unless the context otherwise requires, the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999.
- Approval of bylaws for the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve—The Minister of Fisheries hereby approves the following bylaws for the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve:
(a) Except as provided in subclause (b) below, the taking or possession of cockles from within the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve is prohibited.
(b) On any Saturday or Sunday during the month of September, a person may take or possess cockles from within the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve provided that:
(i) prior to the taking or possession, the person has obtained and completed a cockle catch reporting
