(ii) no person shall in any one day take or possess more than 12 cockles from the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve; and
(iii) no person shall take cockles by any method other than hand-gathering from the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve.

Fishing subject to these bylaws—Under Regulations 25 (3) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, all fishing within the Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve is subject to these bylaws.

Breach of bylaws is an offence—Under Regulation 43 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, a person commits an offence against those Regulations if the person breaches any of these bylaws.
Revocation—The Fisheries (Declaration of Koukourārata Mātaitai Reserve Bylaws) Notice 2001 (No. F201) published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 September 2001, No. 132, page 3382, is hereby revoked.
