In accordance with section 34 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notice is hereby given that the Minister for Transport Safety
signed the following ordinary Civil Aviation Rules on 5 September 2006 which will come into force on 12 October 2006:

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996
Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority gives notice that APD Limited intends to apply for the approval of the Code of Practice for the Design and Construction of Vertical Cylindrical Above-ground Thermoplastic Stationary Tanks for the Storage of Hazardous Liquids with Class 5, 6, 8 and 9 Hazard Classifications.
This code specifies requirements for thermoplastic above-ground vertical cylindrical stationary tanks which store oxidising, toxic, corrosive or ecotoxic liquids that are not flammable.
Under clause 8 (2) (h) of Schedule 8 to the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004, above-ground stationary tanks for hazardous liquids must be designed and constructed in accordance with one of the Standards listed in paragraphs 8 (2) (a)–(g) of that Schedule or a code of practice approved by the Authority under section 79 of the Act.
