Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Christchurch City, and Selwyn District at Templeton) Notice 2004

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Christchurch City, and Selwyn District at Templeton) Notice 2004.

2. Those localities and roads on sheets one to four numbered respectively LT04/56/1, LT04/56/2, LT04/56/3 and LT04/56/4 of plan entitled "Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Roads in Christchurch City and Roads at Templeton in Selwyn District" and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed-limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(c) excluded from the limitations as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Act, as may be ascertained from the legend on the plan. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.\n
3. This notice revokes the Traffic (Christchurch City, and Selwyn District at Templeton) Notice, 2001* and the Traffic (Christchurch City) Notice 2003**.
