Coinciding Wins
Coinciding Wins are Added
1.40.25 Each symbol can be used only once when interpreting individual paying patterns except for substitutes. If a winning pattern consists entirely of substituting symbols, then only the highest prize is awarded unless qualified by additional game rules; i.e. the prize for the substituting symbols, or the prize for the winning pattern with the substituted symbols, which ever is highest (except scatters, see Scatters). Other special cases that do not behave according to the above definition are clearly defined with additional wording.
Highest Win Only on Each Payline
or Highest win only
or Highest win only except scatters
1.40.26 Only the highest prize is awarded on each payline. If scatters are added, view these statements in conjunction with an appropriate scatters statement.
Coinciding Wins on Different Paylines are Added
1.40.27 Wins occurring on each payline are added to the wins meter.
Each Symbol can participate Only Once in any Payline Win
1.40.28 When substitute symbols are used, to clarify the fact that the substitute symbol pays only in the highest paying pattern, wording to this effect must be used. Also to avoid confusion when the any paying pattern is used such wording is desirable.
Paylines
All Wins on Centre Payline except Scatters
or Centre line pays only: (viewed in conjunction with a scatters statement)
or All wins on centre line only: (viewed in conjunction with a scatters statement)
1.40.29 Scattered wins can appear on any line if occurring according to the specified winning pattern. Other combinations are only paid on the selected lit line.
All Wins on Selected Lit Lines only: (viewed in conjunction with a scatters statement)
1.40.30 All wins (except scatters) paid only when the combination appears on a selected lit line.
Scatters
Scattered Prizes added to Payline Wins
or Scattered wins are always added to payline wins
or Coinciding scattered wins are added to payline wins
1.40.31 Scattered prizes are always added to wins occurring on paylines even if they occur on the same line as some other win (Note: the statement COINCIDING SCATTERED WINS ADDED may only be used when there are multiple scattered symbols and coinciding wins are paid for these scatters).
Substitutes
X Substitutes for all Symbols [Optional Including or Except Scatters]
1.40.32 The symbol X may substitute in any winning pattern in replacement for a symbol required by that pattern (e.g. Queen Sub Queen, the Sub qualifies as a Queen to make 3 Queens). Unless the optional Except Scatters, or the equivalent, is used, the Substitute participates in Scattered wins. Further qualification may be required to clarify circumstances of games with coinciding wins rules.
