X Substitutes for all Symbols and for all Scattered Pays at the same time
1.40.33 If a game offers two or more scattered symbols which are substituted by the symbol X then this wording explains that X substitutes up to a number of times: once in a payline winning pattern, and once for each scattered symbol. Scattered symbols are substituted even when none of the scattered symbols appear on the display.
If one or more X substitute in a winning pattern the prize for that winning pattern is doubled. Doubled prizes are shown in the coloured column.
1.40.34 The substitute symbol X doubles the prize of a winning pattern in which it substitutes. Prizes for winning patterns for the symbol X are not doubled as the symbol X does not substitute for itself. If the symbol X doubles* the prizes also for scatters then this is indicated on the artwork with appropriate additional wording.
*The word double can be substituted by any other multiplier.
Every X that substitutes in a winning pattern multiplies the prize for that winning pattern by XX.
1.40.35 The prize of the winning pattern is multiplied by XX for each substituting symbol.
X substitutes for A, B, C...
1.40.36 Only the symbols indicated are substituted. If more than one substitute symbol exists, the range of symbols that are substituted by each substitute is specified.
X substitutes for All Symbols except A, B, C...
1.40.37 The symbol X substitutes for every symbol except the symbols as indicated. If more than one substitute symbol exists, the range of symbols that are excluded by each substitute is specified.
Features
Non winning combinations occurring during free games pay X credits multiplied by the total number of credits staked / credits staked per line:
1.40.38 If any win occurs in the free game, including scatters, then extra X credits (consolation prize), multiplied by the appropriate credits staked, are not paid. If scattered wins occur and the consolation prize is paid regardless this is appropriately stated.
*During free games all wins are doubled:**
1.40.39 Any win that occurs during the free games is at double* the scheduled prize. If some prizes are offered only during free games then such prizes are also multiplied by two when occurring. If prizes that are offered only during free games are already doubled then a statement excludes them from the above game instruction.
*The word doubled can be substituted with any other multiplier.
Free games cannot be won again during the feature
1.40.40 Free games can be triggered only during normal play. If a free game trigger occurs during the free game series, and a special prize is awarded in place of the series of free games, then this is specified with an appropriate statement on the artwork.
Note : This is only one of the many statements that regulate triggers of free games. Because these rules are game specific more cases are not discussed, but will be treated on a case by case basis.
During Free Spins the Initial Win is not repeated
1.40.41 If the reels held during the free spins represent a winning pattern, unless such a pattern is improved as a result of a free spin, the original pattern is not paid again. Only if the initial pattern is improved will a prize be paid.
