1.21.11 If more than one Cancel Credit is made after the completion of the last play or if a Cancel Credit
is made after a payment from the hopper, the gaming machine must display, until the start of
the next play, the metered value of the last credits cancelled, in dollars and cents, and the total
of all payments from the hopper and credits cancelled since the last play, in dollars and cents,
using the format “CANCEL $#,###.## (TOTAL PAID $#,###.##)”
Multi-game gaming machines
1.21.12 Multi-game gaming machines may have a Game Select Mode entered from Idle Mode where
the above information is not required to be displayed. For the specification regarding display
requirements for multi-game gaming machines and Game Select Mode, see Section 1.26
Multiple Games.
1.21.13 Additionally, if Game Select mode is entered, it is necessary to display all of the information of
Section 1.21.7 Display Requirements with Non-zero Credit Meter above when the same game
is selected again.
Video Displays
Attract Mode
1.21.14 An attract mode may be used, as long as the information outlined in the previous Section Idle
Mode Display is displayed after it has completed.
Paytable Display
1.21.15 If the display is overwritten by the paytable while game play is in progress (e.g. waiting to enter
double up), any winning combination resulting from the current play must be suitably highlighted
on restoration of the game display.
Touch Screens
Calibration Facility
1.21.16 Touch screens must have a software re-calibrating facility unless the touch screen is designed
never to require re-calibrating.
1.21.17 If the opening of the gaming machine door is found to affect touch screen calibration and recalibration is carried out with the door open, there must be in place means to ensure that the recalibration is correct when the door is closed (e.g.: two sets of calibrations one for door open
and one for door closed).
Accuracy
1.21.18 Touch screens must be accurate so that a user's actions can be interpreted correctly.
Button Icons
1.21.19 Touch screen button icons must be sufficiently separated to reduce chances of the wrong icon
being selected due to miscalibration or parallax errors.
Hidden Touch Points
1.21.20 There must be no hidden or undocumented buttons/touch points anywhere on the screen
except as provided for by the game rules (e.g.: spot the ball).
Power Save Mode
Power Save Mode Requirement
1.21.21 Gaming machines may be required to have a Power Save Mode (see the PSAVACT parameter
in Section 1.52 Parameter/Limit Values table for jurisdictions requiring a Power Save Mode).
Power Save Mode Activation Conditions
1.21.22 Power Save Mode shall only be activated when there are no credits or faults on the gaming
machine, the gaming machine is in a disabled state (i.e. the venues licensing hours have
expired) and the gaming machine has been idle for a period of time not less than [PSAVACT].
(Note: this value may be infinity.)
