The Chief Executive of the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services gives notice that the approval of

Pacific Island Community Committee of Hawke’s Bay Inc.

as a community service, pursuant to section 403 of the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989, was revoked on 19 August 2004.

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (“the board”), having been directed by the board, in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical worker having been disciplined by the board under Part 11 of the Electricity Act 1992, and the effect of the decision or order of the board:

Lyndsay Forde Torrie, of Auckland, has been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. Lyndsay Forde Torrie is to pass the Electrician’s Level Stage One, Two and Three of the Practical Assessments. In accordance with section 130 of the Act, the suspension took effect on 10 February 2004. Pursuant to section 127 (2) (g) of the Act, he was ordered to pay a fine of $1,250.00. While the suspension remains in force, Lyndsay Forde Torrie shall be deemed, for the purposes of Parts 10 and 14 of the Electricity Act 1992, not to be registered and so is not authorised to carry out prescribed electrical work as an electrician.

Lyndsay Forde Torrie was ordered to pay costs of $750.00 pursuant to section 128 of the Electricity Act 1992. The fine and costs were to be paid by 30 April 2004.

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (“the board”), having been directed by the board, in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical worker having been disciplined by the board under Part 11 of the Electricity Act 1992, and the effect of the decision or order of the board:

Dennis Bruce Allen, of Tokoroa, has been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. He was ordered, pursuant to section 127 (2) (g) of the Act, to pay a fine of $2,500.00. Dennis Bruce Allen was ordered to pay costs of $1,250.00 pursuant to section 128 of the Electricity Act 1992. The fine and costs were to be paid by 28 April 2004.

Chris Neil Hansen, of Auckland, has been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. Chris Neil Hansen was ordered, pursuant to section 127 (2) (g) of the Act, to pay a fine of $1,000.00. He was also ordered, pursuant to section 127 (2) (h) of the Act, to be censured. Chris Neil Hansen was ordered to pay costs of $1,000.00 pursuant to section 128 of the Electricity Act 1992. The fine and costs were to be paid by 30 April 2004.

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (“the board”), having been directed by the board, in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical worker having been disciplined by the board under Part 11 of the Electricity Act 1992, and the effect of the decision or order of the board:

James Lee Reid, of Manukau, has been found guilty of a disciplinary offence. James Lee Reid was fined $1,000.00 pursuant to section 127 (2) (g) of the Electricity Act 1992. He was also ordered to pay costs of $750.00 pursuant to section 128 of the Electricity Act 1992. The fine and costs were to be paid by 29 November 2002.
