Land Acquired for Carparking and Beautification
or Any Other Work That the Matamata–Piako District Council is Authorised to Construct,
Undertake, Establish, Operate or Maintain, or Any Use of the Land so Authorised to Establish and Continue—Millar Street, Short Street, Spur Street and Stanley Avenue, Te Aroha, Matamata–Piako District
Pursuant to sections 20 and 50 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Michael Jeffares, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, agreement to that effect having been entered into, the lands described in the Schedule to this notice are hereby acquired, subject to Part IVA of the Conservation Act 1987 and section 11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991, for carparking and beautification or any other work that the Matamata-Piako District Council is authorised to construct, undertake, establish, operate or maintain, or any use of the land so authorised to establish and continue, and shall vest in the Matamata-Piako District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice of Intention to Take Right of Way Interest in Land for the PENLINK Toll Road in the Rodney District
Notice is hereby given that Rodney District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the right of way interest in land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required for the proposed PENLINK project. It is intended to use the land for road.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for the construction and subsequent operation of the PENLINK roading project that is considered to be for the greater public good.
The route for the road has been selected following full consideration of possible alternative routes.
The land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.
The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of Rodney District Council’s intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
