Traffic Regulations 1976

Regulatory Traffic Signs—Speed Restriction Supplementary Signs

Pursuant to section 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Director of
Land Transport Safety by an instrument dated 3 May 1999,
I, Robert Albert Gibson, Senior Engineer Safer Roads,
hereby authorise the erection, installation and maintenance
on the same pole of any one of the supplementary signs
described in Schedule 1 to this notice below any one of the
speed limit signs described in Schedule 2 for the purposes of
Regulation 128 (4) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Schedule 1

(a) Works end signs
T13 “WORKS END” sign (TW-16)
“WORKS END THANK YOU” sign (TW-17)

(b) Locality signs
Place name sign (PN-1) used to indicate that a place shown
on a prior I2 “destination” sign has been reached.

Schedule 2

Speed limit signs
R22 (a) speed limit (normal) (RG-1)
R22 (b) speed limit (open road) (RG-2)
R23 speed limit (open road) (RG-2.1)
R25 speed limit (LSZ) (RG-3)

Note:

(1) The letters “T”, “I” and “R” followed by a number are a
reference to the sign described in the Fourth Schedule to
the Traffic Regulations 1976.

(2) The letters “TW”, “PN” and “RG” followed by numbers
within parenthesis are a reference to the sign described
in the Transit New Zealand / Land Transport Safety
Authority publication Manual of Traffic Signs and
Markings
.

Christchurch Fire Districts Notice, December 2003

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the
New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following
notice.

Notice

  1. This notice is the Christchurch Fire Districts Notice,
    December 2003.

  2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication
    in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous
    fire district notices for the districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

  1. The urban areas listed in the Schedule are constituted as
    fire districts.

  2. The boundaries of the fire districts as listed are defined
    and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters,
    New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking Sections of State Highway and Declaring New Sections of State Highway

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989,
the Board of Transit New Zealand gives notice that, with
effect from 12.00 midnight on 31 December 2003, the
sections of State highway described in the First Schedule
hereto are to be revoked and the sections of road described
in the Second Schedule hereto are to be declared to be State
highway within the meaning and for the purpose of the
Transit New Zealand Act 1989.\n
First Schedule

  1. In Whangarei, the section of State Highway No. 1 on
    Great North and Kamo Roads commencing approximately
    183 metres south of the southern abutment of the Springs
    Flat Bridge and proceeding generally in a southerly
    direction to the intersection with State Highway No. 1
    approximately 560 metres north of the intersection with
    Whau Valley Road (Route Position 144/12.82 to Route
    Position 158/2.47); a distance of 3.29 kilometres.

  2. In Whangarei, the section of State Highway No. 15,
    including the section of the access road to the Port of
    Whangarei on Rewarewa Road, Kioreroa Road and Port
    Road from the intersection of State Highway No. 1 and
    extending generally in an easterly direction to the eastern
    end of Rewarewa Road at Kioreroa Road, then on the
    full length of Kioreroa Road from Rewarewa Road to
    Port Road, then on Port Road from Kioreroa Road to a
    point 225 metres south-east of the intersection of Fraser
    Street (Route Position 0/0.00 to Route Position 0/4.35); a
    distance of 4.35 kilometres.
