by Trading Place and Ratanui Street, intended to be
redeveloped by the council in the near future, including
the provision of a new public library. The council wishes
to secure appropriate public car parking opportunities in
the vicinity of the Town Centre and this development,
and ensure this area to be acquired continues to be
maintained for public car parking purposes.
● The owner and any persons having a registered interest
in the land have been served with notice of council’s
intention to take the land and right to object.
Any other person wishing to object to the proposed taking
of the said land may forward a written objection to
the Registrar, Environment Court, Department of Courts,
P.O. Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland, within
20 working days of the date of publication of this notice.
If you make an objection in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held and you will be advised of the
time and place of the hearing and will have the right to
appear and be heard.

Reserves Act 1977
Declaring Land to be Recreation Reserve
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by delegation
under section 14 (4) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga
District Council notifies the following resolution passed by
the council on 10 June 2003:
“That acting pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Reserves
Act 1977, the Tauranga District Council resolves that
the land held in fee simple by the Council, and described
in the Schedule below, is hereby declared to be a
recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

South Auckland Land District—Tauranga District
7.7810 hectares, being Allotment 734, 775-782, 785-788,
878-880, and all being part of Section 2, Town of Tauranga,
and Lots 1-3, D.P. S. 1829, all certificate of title SA61085.
Subject to certificate B. 623418.1, section 36 (2) of the
Building Act 1991.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator of the
Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation revokes the reservation as a local purpose
(community building) reserve over the land described in the
Schedule.
