Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road and vested in the Waipa District Council.

Notice is given, in accordance with section 23 (1) (b) of the Public Works Act 1981, that the Waitakere City Council (“the council”) proposes to take part of the land situated at 1 Ratanui Street, Henderson, and more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, for a public work as follows:

• The land has been utilised for public car parking purposes for more than 20 years after being acquired by the Henderson Borough Council, a predecessor authority, for that purpose from the former owner. A subdivision to formally vest the land in council at that time was inadvertently not completed and the council, having identified that circumstance, wishes to continue to apply the land for that purpose.
