Designation of Airspace
Civil Aviation Rules Parts 71 and 73
Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rules Parts 71.7 (b) (i) and Part 73.7 (b) (i), the following amendments are designated with effect from 30 October 2003—
Permanent danger area NZD721 (Stockton) is established.
Cook Sector
NCA041 (Rarotonga CTR/D) is replaced by NCA058.
NCA042, NCA043 and NCA044 (Rarotonga CTA/C) are replaced by NCA037, NCA038 and NCA039 respectively.
Samoa Sector
NSA051 (Faleolo CTR/D) is replaced by NSA055.
NSA052 (Pago Pago CTR/D) is replaced by NSA056.
NSA045 (Pago Pago TMA) is replaced by NSA030 (Faleolo CTA/D) and NSA031 (Pago Pago CTA/D).
Tonga Sector
NFA046 (Fua’amotu CTR/C) becomes NFA057.
NFA047, NFA048 and NFA049 (Fua’amotu CTA/C) are replaced by NFA033, NFA034 and NFA035 (Fua’amotu CTA/C) respectively.
The following new mandatory broadcast zones replace aerodrome traffic zones:
NFA070 (Ha’apai MBZ), NFA071 (Niuatoputapu MBZ) and NFA072 (Vava’u MBZ).
Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rules Part 73.7 (b) (i), the following amendment is designated with effect from 27 November 2003—
Permanent military operational area NZM102 (Bay of Islands) is established.
Prescribed pursuant to Parts 71 and 73 of the Civil Aviation Rules, under a delegated authority issued by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
In accordance with section 37 (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given that the Director of Civil Aviation has granted the following exemptions from the Civil Aviation Rule requirements:
Schedule
I/EXE/50:
121.71 (h) – minimum runway and runway strip width requirements.
4/EXE/4:
61.105 (2) – requirement for Class 2 medical certificate issued under the Act.
4/EXE/9:
21.191 (8) – with respect to 26 Appendix D.2.10 (2) emergency exit operable from the outside.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to Regulation 90 (2) and (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety Authority, I, Stephen John Bailey, Vehicle Compliance Specialist, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 hereto from the requirements in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions in Schedule 3.
