Exempted requirements relating to
Regulation 79 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
Schedule 3
Conditions
(i) The Visual Display Unit (closed-circuit television screen) shall only display pictorial images of the vehicle’s rear load space.
(ii) May only be operated while a horse(s) is in transit.
(iii) The Visual Display Unit must be designed, constructed and positioned so that the risk of interfering with the driver’s vision is minimised and it does not unduly distract the driver.
(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time.
(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and must be readily available for inspection.

The Traffic (Clutha District) Notice 2003
Pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Alan Dixon, Acting Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Clutha District) Notice 2003.

The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Second Schedule only (that relates to State Highway No. 1 at Balclutha) of the Traffic (Clutha District) Notice No. 2, 1991, dated the 8th day of October 1991, is revoked*.
Schedule
Situated within the Clutha District at Balclutha:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): From a point 180 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Gormack Street to a point 250 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Cherry Lane; and from a point 20 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Michies Road to a point 150 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from the Balclutha-Waitepeka Road.

The Traffic (Waitaki District) Notice 2003
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Alan Dixon, Acting Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This Notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitaki District) Notice 2003.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

That part of the Schedule only of the Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice No. 1, 1982*, dated the 24th day of May 1982 that relates to State Highway No. 83 (Pukeuri-Omarama) at Duntroon is revoked.

That part of the First Schedule only of the Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice No. 1, 1988**, dated the 24th day of October 1988 that relates to State Highway No. 83 (Pukeuri-Omarama) at Kurow is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within the Waitaki District at Kurow:
State Highway No. 83 (Pukeuri-Omarama): From a point 80 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said highway from Liverpool Street to a point 400 metres measured north-westerly, generally along the said road from Grey Street.
Second Schedule
Situated within the Waitaki District at Duntroon:
State Highway No. 83 (Pukeuri-Omarama): From a point 20 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from the east abutment of the Maerewhenua River Bridge to a point 275 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Earthquake Road.
Situated within the Waitaki District at Palmerston:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): From a point 540 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Brough Street to a point 400 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Burraness Street.
