Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of a Notice Relating to the Exchange of Land and Classification of a Reserve

Under section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice which purported to exchange land held by the Tauranga District Council as recreation reserve and to classify land as local purpose (accessway) reserve, dated the 19th day of September 2002 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 September 2002, No. 139, page 3715, and declares that revocation of the said notice is to take effect as from the 19th day of September 2002, being the date on which the original notice was intended to take effect.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves, Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation over the recreation reserve described in the First Schedule and part of a local purpose (accessway) reserve described in the Second Schedule, and declares that the land may be disposed of by the Tauranga District Council for amalgamation with title to the adjoining land at such price and on terms and conditions as the council determines, with the proceeds of sale to be paid into the general funds of the council.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Wanganui Conservancy of the Department of Conservation notifies that the following resolution was passed by the New Plymouth District Council on 12 February 2002:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the New Plymouth District Council resolves that the piece of land held by the council in fee simple, and described in the Schedule be declared to be a local purpose (scenic) reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”
