(ii) This exemption only applies to directional indicator
lamps that have been certified as complying with one
of the following vehicle standards:
- ECE 48
- EEC 76/756
- FMVSS 108
- ADR 13
(iii) This exemption does not apply to vehicles that have
been modified from their state when manufactured if
the modifications have affected the compliance of
the direction indicator lamps with the vehicle
standard to which the vehicle has been certified.
(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

The Traffic (Dunedin City) Notice 2002
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Dunedin City) Notice 2002.

Those localities and roads on the plans numbered:
LT 0268/1 Sheet No. 1 of 4 entitled “Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Dunedin City–2002 (Excluding State Highways)”; and
LT 0268/1 Sheet No. 2 of 4 entitled “Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Dunedin City–2002 (Excluding State Highways)”; and
LT 0268/1 Sheet No. 3 of 4 entitled “Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Dunedin City–2002 (Excluding State Highways)”; and
LT 0268/1 Sheet No. 4 of 4 entitled “Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Dunedin City–2002 (Excluding State Highways)”; and
held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times with a maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act; or
(c) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act, and declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.
- All of The Traffic (Dunedin City) Notice 1999* dated 22 October 1999 is revoked.

Transport Act 1972
Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2002/15:
Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 13 and 14
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1972, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows.
Amendment

This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

In the Third Schedule after clause 13, insert:
- The section of State Highway No. 83 at Otematata, from a point measured 400 metres in an easterly direction from the Otematata River Bridge to a point measured 445 metres in a westerly direction from Loch Laird Road (Route Position 70/14.88 to Route Position 85/1.30); a distance of 1.7 kilometres.
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.
