The Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 2002
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 2002.

Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT0224/1, entitled “Tauranga District Roading Speed Restrictions” and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or
(c) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2);
(d) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2), and declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 65, Tasman District
Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State Highway No. 65 described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked and the section of road described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be State Highway No. 65 within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.
First Schedule
That section of State Highway No. 65, commencing at a point 4 metres north of the northern abutment of the new Pea Soup Creek Bridge and proceeding in a south-easterly then in a southerly direction to its intersection with the newly constructed section of road, to be declared State Highway No. 65 in the Second Schedule hereto (Route Position 0/16.31 to Route Position 17/0.31); a distance of 420 metres.
Second Schedule
The newly constructed road commencing at a point 4 metres north of the northern abutment of the new Pea Soup Creek Bridge and proceeding in a southerly direction to a point 336 metres south of the northern abutment of the new Pea Soup Creek Bridge (Route Position 0/16.31 to Route Position 17/0.31); a distance of 340 metres.

Land Acquired for Road—State Highway No. 14, Tangowahine Passing Bays, Kaipara District
Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ronald
Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, forms part of State Highway No. 12 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
