Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime Safety by an instrument of delegation dated 26 March 1997.

Therefore I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, hereby appoint those persons listed in the Schedule to this notice as protection officers for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.

This notice comes into effect on and from 5 September 2002.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring New Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 50A

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of road described in the Schedule hereto is declared to be State Highway No. 50A.

Schedule

In Hastings District, the newly constructed section of the Hawke’s Bay Expressway commencing at its intersection with Omahu Road and proceeding in a generally southerly direction to York Road, then in a generally easterly direction along York Road to its intersection with Maraekakaho Road, then in a generally southerly direction along Maraekakaho Road to its intersection with Pakipaki Road, then along Pakipaki Road to its intersection with State Highway No. 2 at Pakipaki (Route Position 0/7.60 to new Route Position 18/0.00); a distance of 9.97 kilometres.

Notice of Approval for Land to be Sold, Otherwise Disposed Of or Modified, Pursuant to Section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991

Pursuant to section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, I, Chris Carter, Minister of Conservation, hereby approve the lease between the Marlborough District Council and Robert Lewis Wratt and Annamarie Wratt for a term of 10 years of the following parcels of land currently vested in the Marlborough District Council (as successor in title to the Marlborough Harbour Board), being part of the land described in Part A of the Schedule to the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, under the description “Havelock Harbour Lands” and being more particularly described in the Schedule marked “A” set out below.

Legal description of rural land proposed for lease by the Marlborough District Council, pursuant to the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991:

In terms of section 5 (2) (c) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, the approval shall take effect on the date of this notice.
