Airworthiness Directives

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation,
I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Team Leader–Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

This airworthiness directive came into force on 20 August 2002.

The Traffic (Far North District) Notice 2002

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice 2002.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The following notice is revoked:
    The Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 1, 1993.*

Schedule
Situated within Far North District at Awanui:

State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff): From a point 300 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Gill Road to State Highway No. 10 (Awanui–Pakaraka via Mangonui).

State Highway No. 1F (Waitiki Landing–Awanui): From State Highway No. 10 (Awanui–Pakaraka via Mangonui) to Spains Road.

State Highway No. 10 (Awanui–Pakaraka via Mangonui): From State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff) to a point 300 metres measured easterly generally along State Highway No. 10 (Awanui–Pakaraka via Mangonui) from State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff).

Collard Street.
Duke Street.

Gill Road: From State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff) to a point 480 metres measured westerly generally along Gill Road from the said State highway.

Long Street.
Matarau Road.
Queen Street.
Southey Street.
Warau Street.

Notice of Appointment of Protection Officers Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996

Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an instrument of delegation dated 19 March 1997.

And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine
