In the notice dated 26 June 2001, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 28 June 2001, No. 66 at page 1560, in the body of document for

“to protect a bird-rich sequence of podocarp forest on valley floors, hard beech forest on slopes and hardwood forest on ridges on Old Man Gravels”

read

“to protect the only area of podocarp-hardwood forest on Waiuta Group rock (strongly indurated greywacke and argillite) in the North Westland Ecological region. It also protects a complete altitudinal sequence of vegetation within the Hochstetter Ecological District.”

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, the Right Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be taken for road and to be vested in the Crown on the 14th day after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114 (1), declares the land described in the First Schedule to this notice to be road and vested in the Manukau City Council.
