Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to Regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Simon Christopher Whiteley, Manager Safer Vehicles Policy, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Notice of Approval to Act as a Statutory Supervisor Under Section 48 of the Securities Act 1978

Pursuant to section 48 of the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

The Securities Commission approves John Huntsbury Midgley to act as a statutory supervisor for the purposes of the Securities Act 1978 in respect of participatory securities issued by persons named in the schedule (the “specified persons”).

This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

This notice expires on the close of 31 July 2006.

The approval is given subject to the following conditions:

(a) That John Huntsbury Midgley is not at any time a member of any scheme of which a specified person is the manager;

(b) that John Huntsbury Midgley does not at any time hold any office or appointment (including appointment as auditor) or have any involvement, relationship or interest in respect of any specified person or any scheme of which a specified person is the manager, otherwise than in connection with the performance of his functions and powers as statutory supervisor;

(c) that John Huntsbury Midgley does not at any time control or have the right to control, directly or indirectly, any specified person or any scheme of which a specified person is the manager, otherwise than in connection with the performance of his functions and powers as statutory supervisor;

(d) that John Huntsbury Midgley does not at any time hold any participatory securities issued by any specified person;

(e) that no relationship exists at any time between John Huntsbury Midgley and any specified person or any scheme of which a specified person is the manager that affects, or is likely to affect, his ability to perform his functions and powers as statutory supervisor; and

(f) that John Huntsbury Midgley maintains satisfactory professional indemnity insurance in respect of the exercise of his functions and powers as statutory supervisor.

Pursuant to section 48 of the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Commission revokes:

(a) John Huntsbury Midgley's approval to act as a statutory supervisor in respect of participatory securities issued by Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch dated 13 August 1996; and

(b) John Huntsbury Midgley's approval to act as a statutory supervisor in respect of participatory securities issued by Karadean Holdings Limited dated 27 February 1995.
