Electoral Main Rolls Closing Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 104 (2) (b) of the Electoral Act 1993, the
Chief Registrar of Electors gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice is the Electoral Main Rolls Closing
    Notice 2001.

  2. Date for closing of main rolls—The date for the closing
    of the main rolls is 31 August 2001.

Explanatory Note:

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate
its general effect.

The main rolls are printed for each electoral district to
enable members of the public to check them.

The rolls list electors who are enrolled on a date specified
for the closing of the rolls.

This notice specifies 31 August 2001 as that date.

The rolls will be printed as soon as practicable after that
date.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the
Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to Regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations
1976, I, Barry Edward Crocker, Vehicle Compliance
Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in
Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the
Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the
conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Conditions

(i) The above vehicle is exempted from having the
steering located to the right side of the centre line
subject to the following:

(a) The vehicle remains in the possession of the
Christchurch International Airport Company,
Antarctic Centre Division.

(b) Operating in the immediate vicinity of the
Christchurch International Airport travelling along
the following defined route:

Departing from the Antarctic Centre along Orchard
Road to Wairakei Road, on to the Airport Tarmac
returning along Wairakei Road, Orchard Road to
the start point at the Antarctic Centre.

(ii) This exemption is not transferable and will be
automatically revoked on the sale or change of
ownership or operation of this vehicle.

(iii) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(iv) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at
all times and be readily available for inspection.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Ashburton District) Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and
Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and
pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land
Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June
1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the
following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ashburton
    District) Notice 2001.

  2. Those localities and roads on the plan numbered
    LT 0154/1, entitled “Ashburton District Speed Restrictions
    at Ashburton”, and held by the Head Office of the Land
    Transport Safety Authority, and indicated by markings in
    accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to
section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to
Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend
are hereby incorporated into this notice.

  1. The Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice No. 1, 1972*
    dated 12 December 1972 and The Traffic (Ashburton
    Borough) Notice No. 1, 1973** dated 21 December 1973
    are revoked.
