I confer on David Fredrick Leicester Brice, while he holds
office as an officer of the Government of the Dependency,
all the powers exercisable in New Zealand by a Justice of
the Peace, and also the powers exercisable in New Zealand
by a Coroner:

David Fredrick Leicester Brice is to exercise his functions at
such places within the Dependency as may be directed by an
officer of the Government of the Dependency who has the
general executive and administrative authority in preserving

Her Majesty’s rights and sovereignty and the laws in force
in the Dependency.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General as the Governor of the Ross Dependency,
this 14th day of March 2001.
