Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and
to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alistair
Jolly, Land Information New Zealand, declares that,
pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered
into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is to be
acquired for the Napier Hastings motorway and shall vest in
the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the
New Zealand Gazette.

Land Declared Road, Severance Taken, and Road

to be Stopped and Amalgamated—State Highway
No. 2, South of Eketahuna, Tararua District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation
from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alistair Jolly, Land
Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described
in the First Schedule to this notice to be road which,
pursuant to section 88 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway
and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this
notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 119, declares the severance
described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be taken
and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this
notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(c) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the
portions of road described in the Third Schedule to this
notice to be stopped and further declares:
(i) the area firstly described shall vest in the Crown
on the date of publication of this notice in the
New Zealand Gazette.

(ii) pursuant to section 120 (3), the area secondly
described shall be amalgamated with the land in
certificate of title 144/189, subject to Gazette notice
282773.1.
