shall be appointed by the Executive of the Dunedin College of Education Association of Students;
(f) One member appointed by the Dunedin College of Education Council after consultation with the New Zealand Employers’ Federation Incorporated;
(g) One member appointed by the Dunedin College of Education Council after consultation with the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions;
(h) One member appointed by the Otago and Southland Maori Community;
(i) One member appointed by the Dunedin College of Education Council after consultation with the employers of teacher graduates, as listed in the First Schedule to this notice;
(j) One member appointed by the Dunedin College of Education Council after consultation with the unions representing teacher graduates, as listed in the Second Schedule to this notice;
(k) Up to five members co-opted by the Dunedin College of Education Council if and when it thinks fit, taking into account the specific needs of the Dunedin College of Education, its unique character and the gender, ethnic and socio-economic composition of the Otago Southland community.

Subject to section 173 of the Education Act 1989, the maximum term for any member, other than the chief executive officer, shall be four years. A member of Council, other than the Chief Executive Officer, may serve for a maximum of three consecutive four-year terms.

The powers of the Dunedin College of Education Council shall not be affected by vacancy in the membership thereof.

The Dunedin College of Education Notice 1990 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette (1 November 1990, No. 191, page 4183) is hereby revoked.
First Schedule
The employers of teacher graduates as referred to in clause 3 (i) of this notice are as follows:
School Trustees Association (National Office).
Kindergarten Associations (National Office).
New Zealand Child Care Association of Employers (National Office).
Second Schedule
The Unions Representing Teacher Graduates as referred to in clause 3 (j) of this notice are as follows:
New Zealand Post Primary Teachers Association (National Office).
The New Zealand Educational Institute (National Office).

Amendment to the Constitution of Council of Hutt Valley Polytechnic
Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, the Associate Minister of Education (Tertiary Education) hereby gives the following notice.
Notice

This notice may be cited as the Constitution of Hutt Valley Polytechnic Notice 2000.

This notice shall come into force the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Hutt Valley Polytechnic Council shall be constituted as follows:
(a) Four persons appointed by the Minister of Education;
(b) The Chief Executive Officer of Hutt Valley Polytechnic;
(c) One permanent member of the academic staff of Hutt Valley Polytechnic elected by the permanent members of that staff;
(d) One permanent member of the general staff of Hutt Valley Polytechnic elected by the permanent members of that staff;
(e) One member who is a student of Hutt Valley Polytechnic appointed by the governing body of the Students’ Association;
(f) One member appointed by the Hutt Valley Polytechnic Council after consultation with the NZ Employers’ Federation Inc;
(g) One member appointed by the Hutt Valley Polytechnic Council after consultation with the NZ Council of Trade Unions;
(h) Two or three members co-opted by Hutt Valley Polytechnic Council (and who are not employees of Hutt Valley Polytechnic), to ensure specified requirements for competencies, knowledge and experience are covered on the Council.

The term of office of members of the Council, vacation of office, disclosure of members’ interest and casual vacancies are covered in Sections 173 to 176 of the Education Act 1989.

Subject to section 173 of the Education Act 1989, the term of office for any member, other than the Chief Executive Officer, shall be four years. A member of council, other than the chief executive, may serve for a maximum of three terms.

The Hutt Valley Polytechnic Notice 1990 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette (20 September 1990, No. 164, at pages 3428 and 3429) is hereby revoked.

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the Electrical Workers Registration Board
The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (“the board”), having been directed by the board, in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical workers having been disciplined by the board under Part XI of the Electricity Act 1992, and the effect of the decision or order of the board:
David Ewen Anderson, of Wellington, had his name removed from the Register, pursuant to section 127 (2) (a) of the Electricity Act 1992, and ordered that he may not apply for restoration for a period of 2 years from 30 May 2000. Mr Anderson was ordered to pay costs of one thousand dollars ($1000.00). The costs to be paid by 7 July 2000.
