Pursuant to section 11A of the Judicature Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased to appoint
The Honourable Sir Richard Ian Barker
to be an Acting Judge of the High Court for a term of 1 year commencing on the 8th day of September 2000, a certificate having been signed by the Chief Justice and 3 other permanent judges of the High Court that in their opinion it is necessary for the due conduct of the business of the Court that an Acting Judge be appointed.

Dissolution of Board of Trustees
Pursuant to section 107 (1) of the Education Act 1989, I am satisfied that the Tauranga Taupo School Board of Trustees should not continue in existence by reason of disharmony among the trustees, and I hereby dissolve the Tauranga Taupo School Board of Trustees and direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a commissioner to act in its place.

Constitution Notice for Council of the Dunedin College of Education
Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education gives the following notice.
Notice

This notice may be cited as the Constitution of the Council of the Dunedin College of Education Notice 2000.
-
This notice shall come into force on the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
-
The Council of the Dunedin College of Education shall be constituted as follows:
(a) Four members appointed by the Minister of Education;
(b) The chief executive officer of the Dunedin College of Education;
(c) One permanent member of the academic staff of the Dunedin College of Education elected by the permanent members of that staff;
(d) One permanent member of the general staff of the Dunedin College of Education elected by the permanent members of that staff;
(e) One member who is, or has been, a student of the Dunedin College of Education within 3 years of first appointment to Council, who shall represent the students of Dunedin College of Education and who
