On 17 December 1999. To each applicant for the grant of a standard airworthiness certificate and a type acceptance certificate for a Jetstream Series 3100 type aircraft. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rules 21.191 (8) and 26.53 (2) (i) that the applicant comply with Part 26 Appendix C paragraph C.2.1 (b) (2), with respect to emergency exits, provided that the applicant provides the Director with evidence that the aircraft complies with the conditions in FAA exemption No. 3548.

On 24 December 1999. To Mr W. L. Sattler. From the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 61.905 (b) (1) that the holder of a current General Aviation Flight Examiner Rating, in order to exercise the privileges of that rating, operates within an aviation training organisation certified under Part 141.
This exemption shall apply until 31 March 2000 or until withdrawn in writing by the Director.

From the requirement that each holder of an air operator certificate shall ensure each of its aeroplanes is equipped with a cockpit voice recorder, only with respect to the following Embraer Bandeirante aircraft entered in the New Zealand Register of Aircraft prior to 1 January 2000, where the flight manual requires two or more flight crew members,

From the requirement that each holder of an air operator certificate shall ensure each of its aeroplanes is equipped with a cockpit voice recorder, only with respect to the following Embraer Bandeirante aircraft entered in the New Zealand Register of Aircraft prior to 1 January 2000, where the flight manual requires two or more flight crew members, ZK-REV.
This exemption shall apply until 1 January 2003 or until withdrawn in writing by the Director.

From the requirement that each holder of an air operator certificate shall ensure each of its aeroplanes is equipped with a cockpit voice recorder, only with respect to the following Embraer Bandeirante aircraft entered in the New Zealand Register of Aircraft prior to 1 January 2000, where the flight manual requires two or more flight crew members, ZK-ECM, ZK-RDT.
This exemption shall apply until 1 January 2000 or until withdrawn in writing by the Director.

Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Exemption for Certain Classes of Motor Vehicles From the Requirement of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 Relating to Compliance With an Appropriate Vehicle Standard for Brakes

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Jörg Simon Mager, Senior Engineer Vehicle Policy, hereby exempt motor vehicles of classes MD3, MD4, ME, NB, NC, TC and TD from regulation 13 (8) of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 1.
The notice referenced as “au9232” in the New Zealand Gazette of 16 December 1999, No. 193, page 4610, is hereby revoked.

Schedule 1
Conditions

(i) This exemption expires on the day a Land Transport Rule made under the Land Transport Act 1998 covering brakes on motor vehicles of the classes specified above comes into force and the corresponding provisions of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 are amended or revoked so as to no longer cover the vehicle classes concerned;

(ii) Irrespective of (i) above, this exemption expires on 1 January 2006.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Paul Patrick Chapman, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.
