The Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 2000

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and
regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and
pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land
Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June
1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the
following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Tauranga
District) Notice 2000.

(2) Those localities and roads shown within markings
identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan
numbered LT0024/1, entitled “Tauranga District
Roading Speed Restrictions” and held by the Head
Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are
declared to be closely populated localities at all times,
pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962;
except where declared:

(a) as 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited
speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the
Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to
section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962,
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend
are hereby incorporated into this notice.

(3) The following notice is revoked:
The Traffic (Tauranga District) Notice 1998.

pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land
Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June

following notice:

Notice No. 2, 2000.

(2) The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be
closely populated localities at all times for the purposes
of section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.

Notice of Exemption From Rule 80.6 (1) (a) and Appendix 1, 2.2 (h), 2.6 (a) and 8.3 (c)

I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety,
pursuant to section 47 (2) (b) (i) and (ii), and section 47 (3)
of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, hereby give notice as
follows:

  1. Dart River Jet Safaris Limited is exempt, from the
    date of this notice until 30 June 2001, from the
    requirement in rule 80.6 (1) (a) and Appendix 1,
    2.2 (h) to have a petrol tank filling connection on jet
    boats operated by that company that is located such
    that no spillage will enter the boat when in use,
    provided that—

(i) No jet boat operated by Dart River Jet Safaris
Limited will be fuelled on the water; and

(ii) No jet boat operated by Dart River Jet Safaris
Limited will be fuelled with passengers on board
or in the vicinity of the boat.
