Copies of these Instructions can be obtained from the board’s offices on the First Floor of Landcorp House, 101 Lambton Quay, Wellington or through P.O. Box 5333, Wellington. Telephone: (04) 472 5045. Facsimile: (04) 472 5046.
Instructions
Legal Services Board (Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration) Instructions 1999—Amendment No. 1 (2 pages)
These Instructions provide that a special guideline fee (1.5 hours at counsel’s guideline hourly rate per hearing) may be paid to counsel appearing at interim and final callover hearings of indictable matters in Auckland Courts. The fee is in respect of the hearing and not each aided client.
Legal Services Board—Civil Legal Aid (Waitangi Tribunal) Remuneration Instructions 2000 (13 pages)
These are comprehensive new Instructions and are to be read in conjunction with the board’s current civil legal aid remuneration instructions. They provide a special code of subcommittee practice to be followed by the Wellington-based Waitangi Legal Aid Subcommittee and offer advisory guidance on how many of the special features of Waitangi Tribunal cases are to be best accommodated.
