Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the amendments but is intended to explain their general effect.
These amendments, to the Training Incentive Allowance Programme under section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, and which take effect on 1 January 2000:

(a) allow an allowance to be granted for short courses less than 12 weeks in duration to people who have completed a degree course within the preceding 5 years; and

(b) remove the requirement that where a student loan is available for a course, the applicant must contribute 40% of the costs of the course.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act 1999, I appoint

America’s Cup 2000 Limited of 100 Halsey Street, Viaduct Basin, Auckland

to be the Event Organiser for the America’s Cup Regatta. This notice shall remain in force from 14 February 2000 to 9 March 2000.

Notice is given that it is intended to remove from the New Zealand Register of Companies the above-named company which has its registered office at the Official Assignee’s Office, Level Nine, Boulcott House, 47 Boulcott Street, Wellington, by request, pursuant to section 318 (1)(e) of the Companies Act 1993, on the grounds that the liquidator has filed with the Registrar of Companies the final statement and report, pursuant to sections 257(1)(a) and 318 of the Act.

The date by which an objection to the removal of this company, pursuant to section 321 of the Act, must be delivered to the Registrar is 28 days from the date of this notice.

I, Dr Alan Esmond Bollard, Secretary to the Treasury, hereby give notice that on 28 May 1999, I first became aware that the Crown was vested under section 324 (1) of the Companies Act 1955 (by virtue of the removal of Development Services Limited from the Register of Companies on 16 September 1997, pursuant to section 318 of the Companies Act 1993), with rights as mortgagee under:

(a) Mortgage No. 309832 over certificates of title 28D/787, 28D/788, and 77/149, all of Wellington Land Registry;

(b) Mortgage No. 308069 over certificate of title 77/149, Wellington Land Registry;

(c) Mortgage No. 369325 over certificate of title 984/81, Auckland Land Registry; and

with rights as holder of a debenture dated 8 May 1952 given by Rayonne Investments (1994) Limited (formerly Ray Crump’s Petrol Service Limited and Alderton’s Petrol Service Limited).

Rules of Casino Table Games – Amendment No. 3

Pursuant to section 63 of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority on 20 December 1999, resolved that with effect from 13 January 2000 the Rules of Casino Table Games approved to be conducted and played in the licensed casinos at:

(a) 30-38 Victoria Street, Christchurch;

(b) the property bounded by Hobson, Victoria, Federal and Wellesley Streets, Auckland;

(c) Southern Cross Hotel, 118 High Street, Dunedin; and

(d) the property situated at Beach Street and Lake Esplanade, known as the “Steamerwharf Village”, Queenstown,

as set out in the Supplements dated Wednesday 28 January 1998 and Thursday 29 January 1998 to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday 22 January 1998 and Thursday 29 January 1998 respectively, as amended by Rules of Casino Table Games Amendment No. 1, and as set out in Divisions 7, 13 and 14, in the Supplement dated Friday 29 January 1999 to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday 28 January 1999.
