Notice of Exemption From Rule 47.5

I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, pursuant to section 47 (2) (b) (iii), and section 47 (3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, hereby give notice as follows:

The owner of the 21-metre steel hull displacement motor passenger ship being built by Trans Ocean Yachts, Auckland for Mr Bob Koskela, is exempt from the requirement in Rule 47.5 of Part 47 of the maritime rules which requires the ship to be marked with draught marks.

Amendment

  1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In the Second Schedule insert 10 (d):

    (d) At Te Puke, from a point (Route Position 180/1.64) 280 metres north-west of No. 1 Road to a point (Route Position 180/2.22) 300 metres south-east of No. 1 Road; a distance of 580 metres.

  3. In the Second Schedule following the new clause 10 (d), insert:

    The section of State Highway No. 3 at Rukuhia, from a point (Route Position 5/0.35) 360 metres north of Rukuhia Road to a point (Route Position 5/1.39) 680 metres south of Rukuhia Road; a distance of 1.40 kilometres.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1999/10 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 3 and 4

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Recreation Reserve

Firstly: Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the minister responsible for the department of State that has control of the part of the land described in the Schedule hereto to which section 62 of the Conservation Act 1987 does not apply, hereby jointly declare that part of the land is held for conservation purposes; and

Secondly: Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, hereby declares that the part of the land in the Schedule hereto to which section 62 of the Conservation Act 1987 applies, is held for conservation purposes; and

Further, pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule hereto is set apart as a recreation reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, classified as a recreation reserve subject to the provisions of the latter Act and included in the Morning Star Beach Recreation Reserve.
