I, Maurice Donald Williamson, Minister of Transport, acting pursuant to section 147 (2) (a) (iv) of the Land Transport Act 1998, hereby authorise
Robert Lewis Gardner, non-sworn member of the New Zealand Police
as a person approved to test weighing devices.

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

99/EXE/75—CAR 91.529 (a)
On 13 April 1999. To Boeing 737-3U3 aircraft, serial numbers 28732 and 28733, registrations ZK-NGD and ZK-NGE, from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 91.529 (a).
99/EXE/77—CAR 61.5 (a) (1)
On 1 April 1999. To Gregory Boyce Barrow, Alan Warren Deal, Ian Lindsay Johnston, and Spencer Carlyle Putwain, being employees of Airwork (NZ) Limited and holding commercial pilot licences (helicopter), from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 61.5 (a) (1), only while acting as pilot-in-command of a BK-117 helicopter when carrying out air ambulance and rescue operations on behalf of Airwork (NZ) Limited.
99/EXE/79—CAR 91.535 (d) (3)
On 1 April 1999. To Boeing 737-3U3 aircraft, registration ZK-NGE and ZK-NGD, from the requirement in Civil Aviation Rule 91.535 (d) (3), only in respect of the requirement to be equipped with therapeutic oxygen capable of providing not less than 45 minutes supply for 10 percent of the passengers carried.
Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos are published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL). For the proviso, refer to issue dated 15 April 1999. The CARRIL is available on the CAA website w.caa.govt.nz]. Exemption files may also be viewed on prior request to the registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.

Airworthiness Directive
Pursuant to section 721(3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive in respect of an aircraft:

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 22 April 1999.
These airworthiness directive may be viewed on the CAA website (www.caa.govt.nz) or at Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt.
