(b) Five shot - Canada goose only - Auckland/Waikato
Persons⁷ may hunt or kill Canada geese within the Auckland/Waikato Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than four shells, during the following period:

7.00pm 26 May 1999 to 11.45pm 3 June 1999

(c) Two shot - all game - Eastern
From 1 May 1999 persons⁷ may hunt or kill all game birds within the Eastern Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than two shells, provided that a shotgun with its magazine so adjusted will at anytime hold no more than two shells.

(Explanatory note: While the magazine adjustment enables a magazine shotgun to hold three shells, no person can have three shells in the shotgun at any one time.)

Camouflaged Rowboats

Persons⁸ may hunt or kill game within the following Fish and Game Regions, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, subject to the conditions specified below.

Fish and Game Regions of:
Northland
Nelson/Marlborough
Otago
Southland
Taranaki
West Coast
Wellington - applicable only for that remaining period of the open season for game in the Region, commencing from 3 May 1999.
North Canterbury - applicable only for that remaining period of the open season for game in the Region, commencing from 10 May 1999.
Central South Island - applicable only for that remaining period of the open season for game in the Region, commencing from 3 May 1999.
