Notification of Approval of Changes to Postponements and Abandonments of the Sports Betting Rules

The board resolved to approve the proposed change to clause 13.6.10 Postponements and Abandonments of the Sports Betting Rules. The rule is to read as follows:

13.6.10 Postponements and Abandonments

Where an Authorised Event of a TAB Pools Game is not completed by the Thursday after the date on which it was originally scheduled, it shall be designated as abandoned.

Where 1, 2 or 3 Authorised Events in a TAB Pools Game are designated as abandoned, all winning margins, including the draw, shall be deemed to be the Winning Margin in such abandoned Authorised Events for the purposes of TAB Pools.

Where 4, or more, Authorised Events of a TAB Pools Game are designated as abandoned:

(i) Investments made for the TAB Pools Game shall be refunded.

(ii) The Amount Brought Forward from any previous TAB Pools Game shall be carried forward to the next TAB Pools Game in that Competition.

Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 8) 1999

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice (No. 8) 1999.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,—

“Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988;

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Authorisation—(1) The following persons are authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts generally:

Colonial First State Investment Managers (NZ) Limited; and

Colonial First State Investments (NZ) Limited.

(2) The authorisation of each of these persons is subject to the condition that that person does not carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts except:

(a) As part of the business of that person as a funds manager; or

(b) As part of the duties and functions of that person as a trustee of any managed funds.

(3) The authorisation continues in force until it is revoked by the Commission.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes
