Conservation Act 1987

Amendment to a Notice Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby amends an error in the notice declaring land to be held for conservation purposes together with a declaration that the land become a scenic reserve, dated the 11th day of November 1998, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th day of November 1998, No. 187, page 4411, by omitting from the first line of the Schedule of the said notice “150.8348 hectares” and inserting in its place “149.4180 hectares”.

Authorising the Exchange of Conservation Land for Other Land

Pursuant to section 16A of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby authorises the exchange of the conservation land described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

First Schedule

Southland District—Southland Land District

30.2620 hectares, more or less, being Section 2, S.O. Plan 12284.

Second Schedule

Southland District—Southland Land District

45.3110 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 14782.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and that it shall thereafter be so held.

Notification of Disposal of Conservation Land

Pursuant to section 26 of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land, formerly held for conservation purposes, described in the First Schedule hereto, has been disposed of for the various considerations referred to in the Agreement, dated the 6th day of December 1996, and made among Glenroy Station Limited, Her Majesty the Queen, Minister of Lands and Minister of Conservation.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve and Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Wellington City Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
