A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, The Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be taken for road and to be vested in the Crown on the 14th day after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.

Road Realignment—Whakaahu Stream, Gisborne District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Ronald Alister Jolly, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 52 (1) declares the land in the First Schedule to this notice to set apart for road and remain vested in Gisborne District Council;

(b) Pursuant to section 116 (1) and 117 (3) declares the road in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and:

(i) The land firstly and thirdly described shall become part of the bed of the Waipaoa River.

(ii) The land secondly, fourthly and fifthly described shall vest in Gisborne District Council for soil conservation and river control purposes.

(c) Pursuant to section 116 (1), 117 (3) and 120 (3) declares the road in the Third Schedule to this notice to be stopped and:

(i) The firstly described land now known as Section 2, S.O. 8811 shall be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title 1D/1482, subject to mortgage 178536.3.

(ii) The secondly described land now known as Section 3, S.O. 8811, shall be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title 4D/194, subject to mortgage 214937.4.

(iii) The thirdly described land now known as Section 4, S.O. 8811, shall be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title 1A/1132.
