N o t i c e
(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice No. 2, 1999.
(2) The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.
(3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometre an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
(4) The Traffic (Queenstown Lakes District) Notice No. 3, 1994 is revoked.
First Schedule
SITUATED within Queenstown Lakes District at Wanaka:
All roads within an area bounded by a line commencing on the northern side of Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road, 100 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Bills Way; thence easterly generally along that side of Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road to a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Sargood Drive; thence across Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road at right angles to its northern side; thence due south to a point due west of a point on Cardrona Valley Road, 120 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Stone Street; thence due east to Cardrona Valley road; thence across Cardrona Valley Road at right angles to its western side; thence northerly generally along Cardrona Valley Road, across Golf Course Road to the northern side of Golf Course Road; thence along that road side to the south-western side of Ballantyne Road; thence south-easterly generally along that side of Ballantyne Road, across Golf Course Road, to a point 20 metres measured south-easterly generally along Ballantyne Road from Golf Course Road; thence across Ballantyne Road at right angles to its south-western side; thence northerly generally by a right line to a point on the southern side of No. 84 State Highway (Mount Iron-Wanaka), 50 metres measured easterly generally along that roadside from Anderson Road; thence across the said State Highway at right angles to its southern side; thence easterly generally along the northern side of the No. 84 State Highway (Mount Iron-Wanaka) to a point 650 metres measured easterly generally along that road side from Anderson Road; thence due north to the southern side of Anderson Road; thence westerly generally along that roadside to the eastern side of Anderson Road; thence southerly generally along that roadside to a point 160 metres measured northerly generally along Anderson Road from the northern end of Mount Iron Drive; thence across Anderson Road at right angles to its eastern side; thence northerly generally along Anderson Road to the southern side of Aubrey Road; thence westerly generally along that roadside to a point 200 metres measured easterly generally along Aubrey Road from Rata Street; thence across Aubrey Road at right angles to its southern side; thence due north to the true right bank of the Clutha River; thence westerly, southerly, westerly and northerly generally along that bank and the shore of Lake Wanaka to a point due north of the commencing point; thence due south to the commencing point.
Second Schedule
SITUATED within Queenstown Lakes District at Wanaka:
Ballantyne Road: from a point 20 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Golf Course Road to a point 260 metres measured southerly generally along Ballantyne Road from Gordon Road.
Gordon Road.
Industrial Lane.
Wanaka-Mount Aspiring Road; from a point 100 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Bills Way to a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Sargood Drive.

Notice No. 2, 1999
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and by way of powers delegated to me by the Minister of Transport in an instrument of delegation dated 9 June 1997,
I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice:

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 2, 1999.
(2) The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.
(3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
(4) The roads specified in the Third Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962.
(5) The Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 2, 1996* is revoked.
First Schedule
SITUATED within Waimakariri District at Rangiora:
All the area, with the exception of those roads named in the Second and Third Schedules, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-western side of Millton Avenue, 150 metres measured north-westerly, generally, from River Road; thence south-easterly generally along the south-western side of Millton Avenue to River Road; thence westerly, generally, along the northern side of River Road to a point 600 metres measured westerly, generally, along River Road from the intersection of the northern side of River Road with the line of the western side of West Belt produced across River Road; thence southerly, generally, across River Road at right angles to its northern side to its southern side; thence southerly, generally, by a right line to the northern end of Brick Kiln Road on its eastern side; thence southerly, generally, along the eastern side of Brick Kiln Road to its intersection with the northern side of Oxford Road; thence across Oxford Road at right angles to its northern side to its southern side; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the northern side of Johns Road, 350 metres measured westerly, generally, from West Belt; thence across Johns Road at right angles to its northern side to its southern side; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the western side of Townsend Road, 150 metres measured westerly and southerly, generally, from Pentecost Road; thence across Townsend Road at right angles to its western side to its eastern side; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the north-western side of Todds Road, 640 metres measured south-westerly, generally, from Ellis Road; thence across Todds Road at right angles to its
