Relations Manager for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution concerning the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto was passed by The Rodney District Council at its meeting on the 21st day of November 1997:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Rodney District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a recreation reserve”.

Furthermore, it is hereby declared that the said reserve be known hereafter as the Mangakura Reserve.

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a local purpose (access) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Pursuant to section 5 (6) (a) of the Education Lands Act 1949, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaims and declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands vested in the Governors or Board of Governors of Palmerston North High School as a site for a school shall, as and from the 1st day of July 1998, be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, subject to the provisions of the Land Act 1948, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens or easements affecting the same at that date.

Public Works Act 1981

Declaring Land Acquired for Road, Road Stopped and Land Taken Between George Creek and Fruitlands in the Central Otago District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager, Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Dunedin, declares:

(1) Pursuant to section 20, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto, is acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 8 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

(2) Pursuant to sections 20 (1) and 28, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the leasehold estate described in the Second Schedule hereto, is acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 8 on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

(3) Pursuant to section 52 (1), the Crown land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is set apart for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 8 on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
