Public Works Act 1981

Authorising a Secondary Use of Land

Pursuant to section 191 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Defence:

(a) Authorises the application of the land described in the Schedule being land primarily held for buildings of the general government (defence purposes) to the secondary use of a scenic reserve under the Reserves Act 1977.

(b) Specifies that the following provisions of the Reserves Act shall apply to the land subject to any limitations referred to herein: Sections 19, 40A, 40B, 42, 49, 50, 51, 55, 93–99 inclusive, 101–106 inclusive and 118.

(c) Vests control in the Minister of Conservation.

Wellington Land District—Palmerston North City

13.8200 hectares (approximately) being part of part Section 172, Town of Fitzherbert situated in Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District; as shown edged red on Gazette Plan Wang/1 held by Department of Conservation, Wanganui.

Public Works Act 1981

Land Acquired for State Primary School, Welbourn, New Plymouth

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for State primary school, subject to the land secondly described being subject to transfers 145105 and 166373, and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this declaration in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for State primary school, subject to certificate 237942 and compensation certificate 451121.1, and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this declaration in the New Zealand Gazette.

Amending a Declaration Acquiring Land in Otorohanga District for Road

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands hereby amends the declaration dated the 17th day of June 1987, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 9 July 1987, No. 107, page 3176, acquiring land in Otorohanga District for road by deleting the land described in the Schedule hereto and substituting:

“37 Part Lot 1, D.P. S. 23196; marked “C” on S.O. Plan 52620.
38 Part Lot 2, D.P. 32685; marked “B” on S.O. Plan 60846”.

Pursuant to section 20 and section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and by a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Warranted Officer, Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Wellington, hereby declares:

(a) the land described in the First Schedule to be acquired for road

(b) the land described in the Second Schedule to be taken for local purpose reserve (segregation)

and vested in The Palmerston North City Council from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
