The proposed Dunedin South electorate, by falling short of the Dunedin City Council boundaries, disrupts the community of interest of the Taieri plains.

  • The region, from Lee Stream south, be included in the Dunedin South Electorate.

  • That the Dunedin South Electorate be renamed β€œTaieri”

Objects to the retention of the current boundary between the proposed Clutha-Southland and Otago electorates in the Lake Wakatipu area, on the grounds that it interrupts community of interest between the Queenstown area and Southland. As population decrease occurs in Southland and Otago, there is a danger that the Clutha-Southland electorate will be forced to expand only into Central Otago if the Wakatipu boundary remains. This movement will violate community
