Objects to the inclusion of the area comprising parts of Papanui, Bishopdale, Northcote and Casebrook in the proposed Christchurch Central Electorate on the grounds that this detracts from community of interest in this area.

Suggested solution The boundary between the two electorates be the Main North Road bounded by the Main North Road, Harewood Road, Greers Road and Northcote Road in the proposed Waimakariri Electorate. The balance of the area bounded to the northwest by Queen Elizabeth II Drive, Main North Road and Papanui Road in the Christchurch Central Electorate.

Objects to the existing boundary along Gloucester Street and Linwood Avenue being maintained as it unnecessarily prolongs the separation of the communities of Linwood and Avonside.

Suggested solution The boundary between Christchurch Central and Christchurch East be relocated to the eastern and southern sides of Area Units 593400 (Avonside) and 593600 (North Linwood) to include all the two areas within the proposed Christchurch Central Electorate. (See Objection 53/003 for further definition).

Objects to an area bounded by Avonside Drive, Kerrs Road, Buckleys Road, Linwood Avenue and Gloucester Street being in the proposed Christchurch East Electorate.
