Objects to the inclusion of the Tiritea, Aokautere and Linton Military Camp statistical area units in the proposed Palmerston North Electorate on the grounds that changes to the proposed Otaki Electorate make it desirable to add more population to Otaki.

Suggested solution Transfer these two statistical area units to the proposed Otaki Electorate.

Objects to the inclusion of the area of land south west of Otaihanga to Kapiti Road in the proposed Otaki Electorate on the grounds that the community of interest of this area is with Paraparaumu and that the Mana Electorate is not a high growth area so further population is required.

Suggested solution Move the Mana Electorate boundary further north to include all of Paraparaumu up to the Waikanae River but excluding Otaihanga.

Objects to the inclusion of the Linden-Greenacres area of Tawa in the proposed Mana Electorate on the grounds that it does not give due consideration to the community of interest, and hinders communication within the region. The electorate and region have been splintered.

Suggested solution To include Linden-Greenacres in the proposed Ohariu-Belmont Electorate by retaining the current electoral boundary in the Tawa area.

40 002 b, h Objection Alliance Party

Similar to Objection 40/001 with respect to community of interest.

Suggested solution Similar to 40/001. Also, to meet population requirements, that the proposed Ohariu-Belmont Electorate boundaries be changed if necessary, possibly on the north eastern boundary with Rimutaka.
