Suggested solution Combine Gisborne, Opotiki and that part of the Whakatane District not being put in the Rotorua Electorate.

Objects to the inclusion of a number of statistical area units and parts of statistical area units and the Kawerau District in the proposed Bay of Plenty Electorate on the grounds that other suggested changes make it necessary to place more population in the proposed Mahia and Rotorua Electorates.

Suggested solution Transfer the Kawerau District and a small part of the Rotoma statistical area unit to the proposed Rotorua Electorate. Transfer the other statistical area units to the proposed Mahia Electorate.
