Notice of Intention to Take Land Between Harewood Road and Hacks Road, Christchurch, for Airport Purposes

Notice is hereby given that Christchurch International Airport Limited under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for airport purposes, to be used for a C.A.A.D. Rescue Fire Training Area and future airport development.

The taking is considered necessary for airport purposes and future airport development.

Any person having an estate or interest in the land may within 20 working days after the date of this notice send an objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Department of Courts, Tribunal Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Canterbury Land District—Christchurch City

1. All that land containing 2.1911 hectares or thereabouts being undeveloped as a road, not legalised as a road and remaining vacant land, situated in Block VI, Christchurch Survey District, being part of deeds index C2782 (75D/911) and shown as areas B, C, K and M on S.O. Plan 15593 and lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch.

2. All that land containing 1012 square metres or thereabouts being Lot 86 on Deposited Plan 334 and being all the land contained in certificate of title 392/210 and shown as area “D” on S.O. Plan 15593 and lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch.

A copy of the plan may be inspected at the office of Messrs Buddle Findlay, Solicitors, Level Thirteen, Clarendon Tower, 78 Worcester Street, Christchurch.

Amending a Notice

Declaring Crown Land Set Apart for Housing Purposes in the District of Tasman

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Team Member, Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Nelson, hereby amends the notice dated the 11th day of March 1997 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 13th day of March 1997, No. 23, at page 602, declaring land to be set apart for housing purposes by omitting the Schedule and substituting the following:

Nelson Land District—Tasman District

1.0056 hectares, being part Section 34, Block III, Hope Survey District; as shown marked “A” on S.O. Plan 15497, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Nelson.

Road Stopped in the City of Nelson

Pursuant to section 116 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Team Member, Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Nelson, declares the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, to be stopped.

Land Acquired for Road—State Highway No. 5, Fairy Springs Road Widening—Rotorua District

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, forms part of State Highway No. 5, which shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

80 square metres, being part Lot 6, D.P. 23321; marked “C” on S.O. Plan 60669, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton.

Land Acquired for Road Deviation at Berwick Street

Pursuant to sections 20 and 50 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Christchurch, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule is acquired for road deviation and shall vest in The Christchurch City Council on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
