Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes and No Longer Part of Victoria Conservation Park

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, being the minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land in the West Coast Conservancy described in the Schedule hereto, declares that the land is held for conservation purposes, for the purpose of a conservation park.

Further, pursuant to section 18 (7) of the Conservation Act, the Minister of Conservation revokes the purpose for which the land is held as part of Victoria Conservation Park and declares the land be held for the purpose of a stewardship area.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Waikato Conservator for the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation over the recreation reserve described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Hamilton City Council in such manner, at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Thames-Coromandel District Council on the 12th day of May 1997:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Thames-Coromandel District Council hereby resolves that the land held by the said council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a local purpose (esplanade) reserve, within the meaning of the said Act.”
